Youth Soccer

The Clayton Ridge Soccer Club aims to provide an opportunity for all of the youth in our community to participate, learn, develop and excel in the sport of soccer! A short spring session is available in April-May for current 2nd-7th grades and a fall session is available August-October for fall K-8th grades.

FALL SESSION 2025

Program Info

Spring session 2025:

(registrations available in early April)

 

Groups: 2nd-7th (current school year)

 

Dates:

Trainings: Sundays, April 27, May 4 and 11 

Youth Soccer Skills Challenge: Sat. May 17

 

Times: 4:00-5:15pm

 

Location: High School Athletic Complex (Guttenberg)

 

Details: CR High School players and coaches will lead a series of skill development sessions and team games, only $10, all proceeds go to the CR High School soccer program

 

Requirements: all participants should wear appropriate soccer shoes, shin guards and socks (covering their shin guards) to each session, no specific shirt will be provided or required for the spring sessions. The cost includes three trainings & Youth Soccer Skills Challenge event entry.

Fall session 2025:

(K-8th registrations will be available in late June)

 

City League: (all participants)

Groups: All K-4th co-ed, 5th-8th boys (fall 2025 school year) will be grouped depending on numbers (5th-8th girls will play in club league)

 

Dates: 1-2 times per week after school begins through middle of October

 

Times: typically weekday evenings

 

Location: ALL practices/games in Guttenberg, each group specific location to be determined

 

Details: Kindergarten will meet five dates for an hour, once a week on a weekday evening after school begins, 1st-4th groups will be split into teams, have some group 'training' dates and play league games. The 5th-8th boys groups will be split into teams, have group ‘training’ dates and play league games. All participants will receive a team shirt included with their registration fee.

 

Requirements: all participants should wear appropriate soccer shoes, shin guards and socks (covering their shin guards) to each session, league shirts will be provided to all participants 1st-4th grades and should be worn at all sessions


 

Club League: (one team selected from each age group)

Groups: 3rd-4th co-ed, 5th-6th co-ed, 5th-6th girls, 7th-8th co-ed, 7th-8th girls (fall 2025 school year)

 

Dates: Practices begin in early August, co-ed games on Saturday mornings (middle of August through early October), girls on Wednesday evenings (middle of August through middle of September, 6 weeks)

 

Times: practice schedule is variable based on coach, league games are determined by host

 

Location: practices in Guttenberg, league games in Dyersville

 

Details: co-ed team players will be selected and opt-in for this league, all girls in 5th-8th will participate, more details to come in June

 

Requirements: all participants should wear appropriate soccer shoes, shin guards and socks (covering their shin guards) to each session, league shirts will be provided to all participants and should be worn at all games

High School Summer Session:

Groups: 9th-12th (fall 2025 school year)

 

Dates/times: In the past, games have been played on the six Sunday afternoon/evenings following the July 4 holiday, there are also open practices/workouts/scrimmages available typically on Saturday mornings or by request

 

Location: practices/scrimmages in Guttenberg, league games in Dyersville

 

Details: this is an optional participation league, but highly recommended to increase your skill - payment can vary for entire session or on a per game basis

 

Requirements: all participants should wear appropriate soccer shoes, shin guards and socks (covering their shin guards) to each session, league shirts will be provided to all participants and should be worn at all game sessions.
